Israel’s retaliation is imminent. The New York Times- Iran is in a state of war preparation and will not fight back.
Recent reports suggest that Iran is on a war-ready status while simultaneously striving to avoid conflict with Israel. During demonstrations in the streets, Iranian citizens have been seen waving flags of Iran and Hezbollah, along with images of their leader.
According to a report from The New York Times, Israel is expected to launch retaliatory actions against Iran in the near future. This has triggered Iran’s top leadership to order military officials to formulate plans in response to these potential Israeli strikes. Four Iranian officials indicated that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has mandated the armed forces to prepare for various scenarios that might arise from this situation.
These officials have issued a cautionary note: if significant damage or casualties occur as a result of Israeli attacks, Iran will retaliate. Conversely, if Israel limits its strikes to a small number of military installations and weapon depots, Iran may choose to refrain from responding.
The officials further elaborated that if Israel targets critical infrastructures, such as oil facilities or nuclear sites, or aims at high-ranking officials, Iran is certain to respond. Options under consideration could include launching up to 1,000 ballistic missiles or disrupting energy supplies in the region.
On October 23, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi addressed Russian media during the BRICS summit in Kazan, stating that if Israel were to initiate an attack, Iran’s response would be proportional and well-considered.
