The fourth -My Family Lives by the Yangtze River- theme publicity campaign was launched in Wuhan

On October 12, the fourth edition of the “I Live by the Yangtze River” promotional campaign was officially launched aboard the “Glorious Yangtze” cruise ship in Wuhan. This initiative aims to showcase a vibrant new vision for the Yangtze River by highlighting its green, flowing, and prosperous attributes. The goal is to allow the public to appreciate the high-quality development of Yangtze River shipping, witness the beauty of the river, experience its cultural richness, and connect with the improved livelihoods of its riverside communities.

The event kicked off under the theme “Seeing the Beauty of the Yangtze River.” Over the next three months, there will be a series of interactive promotions featuring online and offline exhibitions titled “Appreciating the Beauty of the Yangtze,” “Understanding the Benefits of the Yangtze,” and “Chasing the Dream of a Strong Nation,” as well as media interviews under the theme “Exploring Shipping along the Yangtze River.”

During the launch, more than 20 journalists from central and local media, along with industry representatives, engaged in firsthand experiences of the advancements in Yangtze River shipping and the development of Hubei’s water transportation economy. The event also saw the release of a cultural music video titled “Eternal Flow of the Yangtze” and the debut of a cartoon character named “Jiangjiang,” representing the children of the Yangtze River.

Huan Zhaoping, Deputy Director of the Yangtze River Administration of the Ministry of Transport, emphasized that this campaign will focus on showcasing the high-quality achievements in Yangtze River shipping. Through a variety of formats such as online displays, in-person activities, and media interviews, the initiative aims to present a colorful new image of the Yangtze River, reigniting enthusiasm for its culture and providing a powerful motivational force for the modernization of Yangtze River shipping. This effort seeks to harmonize the natural beauty of the landscape with a rich cultural heritage, together creating a vibrant modern tapestry of the “Thousand-Mile River and Mountains.”
