The Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets are set to take part in the annual preseason international exhibition games, known as the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2024, starting October 4. The games will be held at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
This marks the third consecutive season that the NBA has brought its teams to the United Arab Emirates to engage with fans in the Middle East as part of its promotional efforts for American basketball.
Last season, the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves participated in these international games.
The inaugural Abu Dhabi game was held with a matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Boston Celtics, last season’s NBA champions, will face off against the Denver Nuggets, who claimed the championship two seasons ago.
As part of its ongoing initiative to promote American professional basketball culture, the NBA plans to host international games for fans in four regions this season, which will also include locations like Mexico City, Montreal, and Paris.
