On October 6, the WealthbyHealth Foundation will host a free health clinic, offering the latest COVID-19 and flu vaccines, as well as routine vaccinations for children. The clinic will feature a variety of services, including Western medicine (internal medicine, cardiology, urology, oncology—appointments required for specialties other than internal medicine), dental care (cleanings, fillings, extractions), eye care (examinations, prescriptions), and traditional Chinese medicine (acupuncture, massage, cupping). Patients seeking dental, eye, or Chinese medicine services will need to wait in line on-site. Due to limited availability on the day of the event, services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, and patients will be required to wait on-site. Medical services may be adjusted based on actual conditions. For more details, visit www.wealthbyhealth.org or call 1-888-996-9985.
The event will take place on Sunday, October 6, from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Rosemead Community Center (3936 Muscatel Ave, Rosemead). Western medicine appointments must be made in advance by calling 888-996-9985. Other services will depend on the line at the time. Each patient is limited to registering for one service. For eye care services, patients may receive a prescription for one pair of glasses per year. A government-issued photo ID will be required on the day of the event. WBH reserves the right to refuse services, prioritizing treatment over second opinions.
Additionally, on the same day, there will be an “Oral Health Education Workshop,” co-hosted by the WealthbyHealth Foundation and the Los Angeles County Public Health Department. This workshop will be conducted in English, Chinese, and Spanish. It will take place on October 6 (Sunday) from 10 AM to 11 AM. Spaces are limited, so please call to reserve your spot at 1888-996-9985. Refreshments will be provided, and the first forty registrants will receive gift cards. The facilitators include Erika Gist, MPH, CHES (Senior Health Educator), and Dr. Lin Chan, DDS (Dentist, LA County DPH, Oral Health Program). Topics will cover prenatal care, the first baby teeth, oral hygiene, nutrition, and a Q&A session on oral health.
This course will cover everything you need to know about maintaining oral health during pregnancy and helping your child develop healthy teeth and gums from infancy through early childhood.
Founded in 2016, the WealthbyHealth Foundation operates under the belief that everyone deserves quality healthcare. It was established to provide mobile clinics for low-income, uninsured, and underinsured families living in “healthcare deserts.” Initially, there was only one doctor and one dentist serving elderly patients at a local temple. Over time, more healthcare professionals have joined in, driven by a shared vision of improving health equity in the community.
