Managwu Emerges HATMAN President

Dr. Lillian Managwu has been elected as the new president of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN) during the association’s Annual General Meeting held in Abuja. This marks a significant milestone as she becomes the first female president from the academic sector in the organization’s history.

Alhaji Aliyu Badaki, a former president, has taken on the role of chairing the Board of Trustees and will be guiding the association alongside Dr. Managwu.

Joining Dr. Managwu in leadership positions are Alhaji Yunusa Muhammed as the first Vice President, Dr. Ibrahim Kukoyi as the second Vice President, and Chief Godwin Enanta as the zonal chairman for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The newly formed executive committee also includes Alhaji Salisu Talle as the zonal chairman for the North-west, Dr. Ndidi Ezeibe for the South-east, Mrs. Alheri Jibi Zim for the North-east, Mrs. Adetola Olagunju for the South-west, and Mrs. Charity Abu as the zonal chairperson for North-central. Mr. Ademola Reuben Igbo has been appointed as the financial secretary.

Additionally, the new HATMAN executive committee features Prince Ayodele Arokoyo as assistant secretary, Mr. Chimezie Mike as publicity secretary, Dr. Ebikaboere Seimodei as zonal chairperson for the South-south region, and Mrs. Felicia Peters as the national treasurer.
