This win secured the Mets’ spot in the National League Championship Series with a 3-1 record in the Division Series, marking their first return to the NLCS since 2015. The team now awaits the outcome of the matchup between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers for their next opponent.

The Phillies initially took the lead in the fourth inning due to an error during a must-win situation. However, Lindor turned the game around in the sixth inning, igniting a roaring cheer from the home crowd. With one out and the bases loaded, he crushed a 99.4 mph fastball from reliever Carlos Estevez, sending the ball soaring over the center field wall.

Lindor’s home run, clocked at a staggering exit velocity of 109.5 mph and a distance of 398 feet, sent 44,103 fans at Citi Field into a frenzy. With this grand slam, he joined Edgardo Alfonzo as one of only two players in Mets history to hit a grand slam in the postseason.
