A symposium on the publication of -Chronicles of the Communist Party of China- (New Democratic Revolution Period) was held in Beijing

On the morning of October 9, the Central Party History and Literature Research Institute convened a symposium in Beijing to discuss the release of “Chronicles of the Communist Party of China (New Democratic Revolution Period).” Experts and scholars in attendance underscored that this publication is anchored in Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. They pointed out that it effectively captures the main themes and essence of the Party’s historical development, upholding rigorous standards while delivering a truthful, credible, and engaging narrative of historical events.

Spanning from 1921 to 1949, the “Chronicles of the Communist Party of China (New Democratic Revolution Period)” consists of 29 volumes and over 9 million words. It highlights significant activities of the Communist Party of China during the New Democratic Revolution, addressing various domains such as politics, military affairs, the economy, culture, society, foreign relations, and Party building. This comprehensive work seeks to weave together political significance, authoritative documentary value, ideological clarity, academic rigor, and compelling storytelling, making it the most extensive and insightful chronicle of Party history published to date.
